Anonymous Camera is a privacy-focused application that facilitates real-time anonymisation of photos and videos directly on the device.

It offers facial recognition and full-body anonymisation capabilities, enabling users to obscure faces and entire bodies either through solid colour overlays or blurring effects. The full-body anonymisation feature is limited to iPhone XS models and newer.

The app also provides the option to remove metadata from videos, including timestamps, GPS locations, and other identifying information.

Additionally, users can distort audio tracks to anonymise voices, enhancing privacy during recordings.

The split screen feature allows precise control over the extent of the anonymisation within the frame, which can be particularly useful during interviews for source protection.

All processing occurs in real time using on-device machine learning and computer vision technologies, ensuring that unidentifiable data remains on the device without transmission to external servers.

Furthermore, all data handling—processing and storage—is conducted locally, allowing for operation in environments without internet access, such as flight mode.
